We need your help!
Costa Mesa Alliance for Better Streets is a 501(c)(3) California public benefit corporation composed of like-minded Costa Mesa residents who recognize that we are more effective working together than we are on our own. Together we monitor local and state activity that is related to street design and land use, advocate for positive changes to the built environment, and collaborate on street projects to help move forward our vision of more humane public spaces.
VOLUNTEER AND STAY INFORMED
The most important way you can help is to stay informed about what's going on in Costa Mesa and volunteer your time with us as we work to make Costa Mesa a better place to be. CMABS is an entirely volunteer-run organization, and we could use folks to help with everything from emails and outreach to event setup and management.
We invite you sign up sign up on our mailing list, where we'll keep you informed about what's going on and notify you about volunteer opportunities.
Our demonstration projects and events couldn't happen without supplies like cones, landscaping materials, chairs, spray chalk, and more. If you have any supplies that you think we could use, please drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All funds donated to CMABS will be used to further our charitable, educational, and scientific programs that all work towards making our streets a better place for all users, not just those in motor vehicles. We are an all volunteer organization, so your donation will be able to do as much good work as possible!
Donations of as little as a dollar or two can help - together we can make a difference.
Have something else you think we could use? Contact us at email@example.com.
CMABS is a 501(c)(3) California nonprofit corporation organized for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes; donations are deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Tax receipts will be provided for all donations.
Your donations will be used to help carry out our programs, which include:
Monthly meetings and newsletters
We hold monthly meetings and release newsletters regularly to help keep everyone informed about better streets issues.
Group rides and bike tour routes of Costa Mesa
CMABS volunteers help organize the monthly Costa Mesa Community Rides, and have published a set of self-guided bike tours of Costa Mesa.
Costa Mesa Slow Streets
CMABS is working to help the city implement a residential slow streets program to allow Costa Mesans to safely use the streets in front of their homes.
Helping Costa Mesa businesses recover through active mobility
CMABS is working to provide funding and technical assistance to businesses who are interested in extending their businesses into the street space to allow for safe, socially distanced shopping and dining while simultaneously promoting bicycling and walking to their locations.
